Administration of IQuinox is done via the familiar interface of the universal web browser using a standard look and feel - no learning curve.

HTTP Server
IQuinox provides you with an in-built HTTP and HTTPS servers for your internal use. HTTP / HTTPS Server allows you to publish information in your internal network.
FTP Server [New - v6.0.29]
IQuinox provides you with an in-built FTP and FTPS servers for your internal use. Using FTP / FTPS Server, users can access their home area on the server to store files and other information. FTP / FTPS also have an optional provision for anonymous login.
Shared Folders FTP Server [New - v6.0.29]
The IQuinox FTP Server also comes with a facility for Shared Folders. Using the Shared Folder of FTP Server, users can access a common / area on the server to store files and other information.
LDAP Server
IQuinox provides you with an in-built LDAP and LDAPS server. User's email clients can connect to the LDAP Server and obtain information available in the IQuinox Address Books. With effect from IQ v6.0.29, LDAP server can optionally enforce user name / password based Authentication.
Home Page
After the user login, he / she is directed to a "Home Page". The IQuinox Homepage of your organization is completely customizable. You can edit the News, Message of the Day and even the Login Message. In the News section you may provide links to other pages within the Intranet.
Quick Messaging
Quick Messaging enables users enables intra-net users to communicate with each other in almost real time. QuickMsg provides an effective solution to real-time but informal communication needs in the office.
User Controls For FTP & QuickMsg [New - v6.0.29]
Access to FTP Server can be made available to the IQuinox users selectively. Settings are also available for permissions, quota for users home area. Separate settings are available for to decide is user can access the Shared Folder of the FTP Server and if yes which what permissions. In addition to the user level FTP Settings, user level settings for QuickMsg are also available.
Bandwidth Management
Each module of IQuinox is optimized to use as much bandwidth as is available. With multiple modules in use it is useful to control how much bandwidth each module should use. Bandwidth Management enables the administrator to manage the bandwidth, thus making sure that mail transfer process is not affected.
Friendly IP List
A lot of checks with IQuinox Mail Server and IQuinox Proxy Server are based on whether the connection to IQuinox has originated from IP Address within the LAN or an Internet IP Address. IQuinox maintains a list of Internet IP Address, which is marked as "friendly" and are treated on par with IP Address originating from within the LAN.
User Groups
IQuinox allows you to define User Groups. Groups can be defined per IQuinox modules. The groups can be common across the IQuinox modules or can be separate for each module. The users defined in IQuinox can be optionally mapped to a Group. Users belonging to a particular group inherit properties of that group. Users can belong to different groups in each IQuinox module. It is also possible that a user may not belong to a Group.
Scheduled Configuration Backups
IQuinox enables you set schedules for automatic back up of IQuinox files. This feature backs up important files related to IQuinox configuration. With constant backups take, the backup files tend to occupy large amount of disk space. Hence, they should either be periodically purged (manually) or rotation should be used. Rotation provides a function wherein old backup files are not directly deleted but retained till a specified number of backups are created. After this, the oldest backup is deleted.
Configuration Backup In User Defined Paths [New - v6.0.29]
In addition to the normal backup which is done within the QLC folder, optionally configuration backup can be taken on User Defined Path / Folder. If folder does not exists it will get created. The path specified could also be on a different machine if the drive is mapped to IQuinox machine. The backup to User Defined Folder is without "rotation"
Definition Downloads
Definition Downloads are available for Proxy Server, AntiVirus and AntiSpam. You can choose to manually update your definition files or automate the process by setting up an automated schedule for updating the Definition Files.
Dialer
IQuinox uses the QLC Dialer to dial-up to the Internet in case your organization does not have a direct connection. The QLC Dialer is an independent application, which intelligently manages the connection requests from multiple client applications.
Single Sign-on
All users have a single login and password for all the modules with in the IQuinox suite. So whether the user is connecting to the IQuinox Mail Server or the IQuinox Proxy Server, the login / password remain the same. No more remembering different login / password for different applications.
Multiple Logins From Same Machine [New - v6.0.29]
IQuinox now allows different users to be logged into IQuinox from multiple browser instances using same machine.
Comprehensive logging / reports
IQuinox offers several reporting features to help monitor e-mail and Internet usage. These include real time statistics, reports for incoming and outgoing messages as well as logs of all activity. All IQuinox modules have logs that contain detailed technical information that is used for debugging, trouble-shooting; and in general ensuring that IQuinox works properly. All logs can be enabled or disabled and can provide normal or detailed level of logging.

Rule Control
Rule Control is a powerful feature that lets you change group / user level settings of many groups / users with minimal effort. For example, if you want to introduce mailbox quota for all the users in your organization, you could edit each individual user and change the quota settings. Alternatively, you could use Rule Control and change the quota settings of all the users in a single operation.
Free Space Checks [New - v6.0.29]
IQuinox now provides an in-built facility to check for free space on the hard disk of the IQuinox machine. If free space falls less than warning-levels, a QuickMsg / Email is sent. If free space falls less than critical-levels, you can Stop Services or Shutdown the System.
Logos & Colors [New - v6.0.29]
IQuinox now allows you to change the IQuinox Logo (displayed WebAdmin, WebMail and WebCal) and replace it with company logo. Image types that can be used are .gif, .jpg, .jpeg, .png. Further, change the look and feel of IQuinox by choosing from pre-defined Color Skins. The chosen scheme is applied in WebAdmin, WebMail and WebCal. Alternatively, custom colors can also be defined.
Developed In Java
The IQuinox application is written in Java and can run on any operating system including Microsoft Windows 9x/NT/2000/XP, Unix, Sun Solaris, SGI and Linux. In fact, IQuinox can be deployed on any operating system for which the JVM is available
Network based License
Licensing of IQuinox is based on Client Access Licenses (CALs) purchased for a single network (LAN / WAN) installation. All IQuinox modules like IQ-Mail, IQ-Web & IQ-Calendar have their individual CAL count. Plug-ins to modules like AntiVirus and AntiSpam have the same CAL as their parent module
