 Configuring TCP/IP In Windows NT.
Solution

To Configure TCP/IP In Windows NT:

  1. Start the Windows NT Server computer and logon as the administrator.
  2. From the Windows desktop, click Start>Settings>Control Panel>Network Icon. 
    The Network dialog is displayed.
  3. Click the Protocols tab to see the list of protocols already installed on the computer. If TCP/IP is already installed on the computer, you will see TCP/IP Protocol in the list of components. Proceed to Step 5.
  4. If TCP/IP Protocol is not in the list of protocols, click Add. 
    The Select Network Protocol dialog is displayed.
    o Click TCP/IP Protocol in the Network Protocol list.
    o Click OK. 
       The TCP/IP Protocol is added to the list of protocols.
  5. Click TCP/IP Protocol in the Network Protocol list.
  6. Click Properties. 
    The Microsoft TCP/IP Properties dialog is displayed. 
    Enter the details of the IP settings of the computer here.
    o Click the IP Address tab.
    o Click Specify an IP address.
    o Type the IP address of the computer in IP address.
    o Type the sub-net mask of the network in Sub-net mask.
    o Click OK.
  7. If you are now prompted to restart the computer, click Yes.
